User Testing Conclusions

Most respondents prefer prototype alternative 2 because
it is straightforward, practical, and they don't need to go to the previous page
to make the next action.
Alternative 1 is not preferred because the lack of visibility for the arrow
causing longer time to find and proceed to the next step
Alternative 3 has too many steps

Our hypothesis was proven that it often takes too long
for Halodoc to Search for Pharmacies. After discussed with the mentors, it's
because the system needs to find pharmacies with the medicine in stock.

Users want to access the cart with the least amount of steps possible to
the checkout page.
Learnings

Loading duration in the prototype we built did not match the real-app duration.
So, we were missing the exact duration on how long the users need
to wait for the Search for Pharmacies until the Cart page showed up.

We thought it will be harder to be developed if we “wildly” do
design or flow exploration. But, the evaluator of our final presentation,
the Product Manager, shared that we, as designers, were suggested by
the PM to explore the design and let the PM do the negotiation and planning
about how the development will be.

From the design mentors point of view, it is necessary and crucial to
have consideration on which design project that we should take based on
timeline, effort scale, and impact. The goal is to make sure that the design
effort that we put don't go to waste while also giving a significant impact to the
user and the business.
The Testing
Remote Moderated User Testing
The user testing scenario was designed by UX Researchers.
We were using Maze to do the remote user testing.
UX Researchers were inviting us to join the session, so
here are what we did to support the UXR in the testing phase:
Searched for participant for the user testing based on the criteria UXR has set.
Helped check the Research Document.
Recommended Maze as a remote-testing tools.
Supported UXRs in taking notes, observing, and recording the UT while the session is going.
Design Process
Wireframing to Proposing Prototypes
As product designers, we discussed the ideal prototype and proposed
some alternatives. After receiving design feedback, iteration, and exploration, these are the 3 alternatives we presented to the pre-final design presentation.
The Goal
Cart Evaluation
To understand the user’s impressions, behaviors, and comprehension of our Cart designs, as well as its usability. We wanted to find a way to create a suitable experience in the Cart journey.
We were expecting that our Cart design facilitated the users to view or change the items they’ve added to cart without the need of waiting Search for Pharmacies loading screen.

First Step
Idea Pitching to Mentors
In order to get the best idea for the final project, our mentors suggested us
to propose various ideas. So, each of us were presenting the ideas individually
– idea pitching session.
The goal is to let everyone, including mentor and team member,
to see and consider which idea that can make an impact to the product and
possible to finished by the end of Q4 (before internship ended).
After presenting ideas we got, the mentors gave us comments and
feedback regarding the ideas. Finally, we take Cart Evaluation 🛒
as our group final project.
